Afghanistan’s natural resources include natural gas, oil, coal, petroleum, copper, chromite, talc, barites and sulphur. According to a study by USGS initiated in 2006, Afghanistan has $1 US trillion in untapped mineral deposits, giving it the potential to become one of the world’s most important mining centres.
