Recent activities

1 March 2013 – PWYP Cameroon released this assessment on the latest EITI report.

30 January 2013 – PWYP Cameroon published this paper on subnational revenue management in the country and missing funds.

13 December 2012 – PWYP Cameroon issued a press release condemning current threats against civil society activists in the country.

12 July 2012 -CSO members participating in EITI implementation meet M. Tim Bittinger, from the EITI Secretariat, to exchange on EITI related issues.

28 June 2012 – Debrief to the coalition about next steps and decisions taken at the PWYP Francophone Africa meeting in Dakar which took place 12-15 June 2012

7 October 2011 – Mr. Azantsa Manfoguimezi Berreck Symphorien is hired as the coalition’s new technical secretary

30 August – 2 September 2011 – PWYP Cameroon hosted a strategic workshop to evaluate civil society’s participation in the implementation of EITI in the country. The event sought to examine and resolve the issues behind Cameroon’s lack of compliant status. The agenda focussed on several themes including the sharing of best practices (drawn from the experiences of Liberia, Niger and the CAR) and the analysis of reports. Members identified the strengths and weaknesses of Cameroon’s EITI implementation as well as the actions necessary to achieve compliant status.
